Meteorite Fall 1992

The meteorite found shortly after the fall tells a story. The fusion crust is pristine a matte finish. On another side the surface has a fresh break with no fusion crust. The specimen probably broke on impact.

A fairly large fall in a populated area. Many stones hit houses and factories; the largest went through a factory roof and broke into many pieces. Some were reported to have been ground into dust and eaten as a possible cure for AIDs.
