Silicated-Iron Mosaic

The meteorite location is a witnessed fall in 1924 Nigeria. The etched slice, a mosaic, with a variety of silicates in crystalized iron. Described by Mason 1967 Buchwalds Iron Meteorites as an unusual display of metal (>50%), troilite and silicates, such as; Enstatite (Fs6), olivine (Fa 5), oligoclase (An16) and diopside (Fe 5 ) in that order of abundance. Each slice is unique: this has 40 mm long silicate among the fractal components.
