Beautiful Oblong Pallasite

Stunning Meteorite, found in Seymchan, Russia came from the Stars. The pallasite meteorite section is preserved in a sterling silver frame. Without obstruction, light passes through the translucent peridot crystal formed in a nickel-iron meteorite. The mineral olivine composes the peridot crystals in a stony-iron pallasite.  The oblong frame is 1.25 by 15/16 inches (35 x 22mm) the top ring allows for a thick, 3 mm chain. The pallasite pendant is provided in a 2.5 inch membrane box with a small stand; an information card; and a certificate of authenticity. A stainless steel chain is provided. Limit of 2 in stock. Originally two specimens were found in a brook-bed in very remote location of the Magadan district. It was rediscovered in ~2004 where a massive recovery project yielded about 30 tons. It is easily the largest pallasite discovery to date. The olivine crystals are randomly dispersed in NiFe in clusters and layers. It is very stable iron.
