Irghizites are named for the Irgh river. Their distinctive shape is said to resemble specimens from the Wabar Crater. Chemically similar composition to Australasian tektites coesite, stishovite, maskelynite and melted silica but with 2-3 times the water. They were formed at much higher heat. They also contain a nickel /cobalt signature from the meteorite impacter.
