Clovis 001 H3.6

Excellent USA Chondrite

Clovis 001 chondrite chalked full of chondrules. It is a ancient stone meteorite found 1961. The sample is cut from the center of the mass from the U.S. National Museum, Meteorite Collection. One side is polished reflecting some the light and obscuring the view; The other rough side is a clear view into the igneous chondrules. My last slice for sale though we have a few tiny chips (< 0.6 gr).

The Clovis chondrules are small, well formed and abundant. Weathering grade 3-4 as very little metal remains. It is the only non-Antarctic H 3.6 listed in the 5th edition Catalogue of Meteorites.
